WELCOME TO EDGERTON ELEMENTARY!
(Updated April 2nd, 2007)

(Updated April 2nd, 2007)

These are very exciting times as we build-up to the opening of this fabulous school. While I am now writing monthly newsletters, I also wanted to offer this blog as a way for our "Wolves" to stay updated on their new school. As a "Wolfpack" family, it is important that we all stay informed and in touch. Enjoy reading more, and don't hesitate to contact me with ideas and/or questions.
Check out the links on the side for further information.

I am impressed by the way you have used this site. Have you always been interested in using technology in school?

Yes! I see technology as a great tool to influence the effectiveness and efficiency of our work. I have an MAE in "instructional technology", have tried to stay current on the topic, and now have a great opportunity to start a school that will benefit from infused technology - thanks to our voters/tax-payers. I appreciate the comment! Keep coming back, as my goal is to update this every other week.

The website sorely needs to be updated and is hard to navigate. Information I really need I have to "dig" for and the content isn't written for web-friendliness (too long).
This could be a nice website if you just gave it some TLC.
Some ideas Parents are looking for:
Easy-to-find contact numbers to phone in absentee, etc., and TRULY important notices (not the old tour post),
Staff members w/ e-mail addresses,
Maybe a "Parents Corner" with links to PTA mailbox, etc., as well as a "Students Corner" with content specifically for them with sub-menus.
Just try to think of your USERS, get into their head -- trust me, it will help you understand how to make your site more effective for them and you!
